For companies

Your employees drive.
Your liability is on the line.

Road risk remains the 1st cause of fatal accidents at work in France. Article L4121-1 of the French Labour Code requires you to assess it and to prevent it — I work with you rigorously, at whatever stage you are at: audit, advice or training.

Occupational road risk
in numbers

In France, road risk is systematically underestimated inside companies — yet the official figures leave no room for doubt.

No. 1
Cause of fatal accidents at work
Road accidents are the leading cause of fatal accidents at work in France, ahead of falls and manual handling.
424
Employees killed in 2024
424 people lost their lives on the road while working in 2024. In 2025, road deaths reached 3,515 people killed and 247,000 injured, up by +2.4% (final ONISR report, May 2026).

The employer's legal obligation
Article L4121-1 of the French Labour Code requires every employer to assess and prevent occupational risks, road risk among them. Training is one of the most direct answers to that obligation.
A cost widely underestimated
An occupational road accident costs on average 3 times the gross annual salary of the employee involved (time off, replacement, AT/MP contributions). Prevention remains a far more profitable investment.

Assess the exposure of
your company

Three questions are enough to get a first estimate of your level of exposure to occupational road risk.

With 10 employees on the road every day and no prevention measures in place, your company carries significant exposure to occupational road risk.

Three strands, at your own pace

Audit, advice or training — these three services are fully independent of each other. You can start with a simple audit, with no commitment to what comes next.

Strand 1

Road-risk audit

The easiest way in — with no commitment to training

A thorough analysis of your company's exposure to road risk: the jobs involved, current practice, weak points. A clear report, with costed recommendations.

  • Identifying the jobs at risk
  • Assessment of driving practice
  • Analysis of your accident record
  • Detailed report + prioritised action plan

Strand 2

Advice & DUER support

To structure your prevention work before any training

Updating the DUER — the single occupational risk assessment document — on its road-risk section, prevention recommendations fitted to your activity, an action plan you can work with.

  • DUER update — road-risk section
  • Prevention plan tailored to you
  • Internal rules & driving charters
  • Tracking of accident indicators

Strand 3

Training for your employees

The hands-on part, as close to the ground as it gets

Awareness raising and practical training in road risk, defensive driving and eco-driving. On site, remote or a mix of both — fitted to your operational constraints.

  • Group awareness session (½ to 1 day)
  • Category B driving training
  • Two-wheeler training (A1 · A2 · A)
  • Eco-driving — savings across the fleet

Worth remembering. You are under no obligation to take all three services. Plenty of companies start with an audit to measure their exposure, then decide calmly what to do next. And if you simply want to train your teams with no audit first, that is perfectly possible.

Drive better, spend less

Eco-driving is not only an environmental matter — it is a direct lever on your costs. A course that pays for itself within a few months.

−15%
Fuel consumption
With the right habits of reading the road ahead and holding a steady pace, a fleet can save up to 15% of its fuel.
−20%
Vehicle wear
Brakes, tyres, clutch — smooth driving noticeably lowers maintenance costs and makes vehicles last longer.
−8%
Speed-related accidents
Eco-driving goes hand in hand with calm driving — fewer harsh accelerations means that many fewer risks taken without meaning to.

Let us talk funding —
openly

My training business is still being set up: I am an independent sole trader and Qualiopi certification is in progress. Here, plainly, are the two routes open today.

Route A · The simplest

Funded from your own budget

Plenty of small and medium-sized companies pay for road-safety training directly, particularly for modest amounts. My rates are deliberately set to keep this route within reach.

  • No OPCO paperwork to handle
  • Short lead times, flexible agreements
  • Ideal for an audit, for advice or for an awareness session
  • Direct invoice — VAT not applicable (art. 293B CGI)
Route B · With OPCO funding

Subcontracting through a partner body

For companies that want OPCO funding under their skills development plan, I work as a subcontractor to a training body already certified Qualiopi. That is how the funding reaches you.

  • Agreement signed with the partner training body
  • OPCO funding according to your industry
  • Same work, same teaching standard
  • Slightly longer administrative lead times
Which route should you take? The simplest thing is to talk it through. Depending on your industry, the OPCO you belong to, how urgent it is and what the work involves, I will point you to the fastest and most advantageous route.

What training actually gets you

Beyond the legal obligation, training your staff in road safety and eco-driving brings benefits that are tangible and measurable.

Fewer accidents

A documented drop in accidents on assignment and on the commute, and with them in time off work.

Fleet savings

Fuel, mechanical wear, insurance premiums — savings that add up across every service vehicle.

Compliance & DUER

A documented process, with certificates handed to every participant and ready to go straight into your DUER.

Questions employers often ask

Does this training concern all of my employees?

Any employee who has to drive for work — their own car on an assignment, a service vehicle, a two-wheeler — is concerned. The home-to-work commute on its own falls under a separate obligation, but awareness training is every bit as relevant there.

Will my OPCO fund the training?

Depending on your sector and the format chosen, OPCO funding may be possible. Where it applies, I help you put the funding application together.

How do I fit the training into my DUER?

Each participant is given an individual certificate, and a session report is sent to you. Those documents can be attached to your single risk assessment document as evidence of the prevention work.

How long does a session last?

From half a day (group awareness session) to several days (practical training in a vehicle). The format is settled beforehand, around your operational constraints.

Is there a required refresher interval?

The law sets no strict interval for road safety (other than FCO and SST). A follow-up after 2 years is recommended all the same, to consolidate what was learned and adapt the programme as the rules change.
