Out in the field, pages already open stay readable. They carry the time they were last loaded. A lesson entered during the outage, though, is not kept: write it on paper and enter it once things are back.
Your data is backed up. Nothing is lost: backups are taken daily and kept somewhere safe.
Your schedule stays readable in your own calendar, if you added the school calendar to it (the iCal link).
